(May 1, 2015) – SM Supermalls, marks its 8th Annual Job Fair
which takes place in SM Malls nationwide today. With this year’s theme, “Disenteng
Trabaho at Kabuhayan, Alay Natin sa Bayan”, it aims to improve the lives of the
Filipinos by helping them land their ideal job.
On its first year of takeoff in SM City Cauayan, the first
SM Supermall in Region 2, DOLE Regional Director Atty. Sixto Rodriguez
pronounced SM City Cauayan as the Jobs Fair Capital of Region 2. Atty.
Rodriguez, announced it during the opening program of the Regional Jobs Fair.
He also awarded SM City Cauayan its Certificate of Compliance on General Labor
and Standards and Certificate of Compliance on Occupational Safety and Health
Standards.
Saluting the Filipino workforce and encouraging the new
graduates to find employment, SM Cauayan in partnership with Department of
Labor and Employment, Local Government Unit of Cauayan City and Public
Employment and Services Office gathered different companies from all over the
Region to give chance to the jobseekers to explore various employment
opportunities.
Over 2, 572 job vacancies was offered on the conducted jobs
fair in SM City Cauayan and out of the 919 applicants who queued, 210
applicants was hired on the spot (HOTS).
SM Supermalls, being home to over 300,000 employees,
continues to make efforts in providing jobs to the growing Filipino workforce. (PR)
